We like the message of The Go-Giver, a great little book by Bob Burg and John David Mann. It teaches that changing one’s focus from getting to giving, putting others’ interests first and continually adding value to their lives, ultimately leads to unexpected returns. "The Law of Value states: Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment." "The Law of Compensation states: Your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them." "The Law of Influence states: Your influence is determined by how abundantly you place other people's interests first."
